If Perpetual is the leading Grindcore act in the east cost of Sabah,Then for a Black Metal the answer is none other is BARBALANS !Yup,the leading or a king of the Black Metal movement in the east cost of Sabah or perhaps the whole of the state ! But now its not about that since it is their new album review section hahah. Another fun fact is,like Perpetual, Blood War Hate is their debuts full length after being so long struggling in the filthy underground extreme metal scene ! Spitting a total 8 tracks of their new hell hymns including one cover version of Bathory's Sacrifice.Musically,Its a bit different compare with their older songs in their demo tape which seems their throwing lots the semi melodic concept (ala Dark Funeral ) and more focusing towards straight forwards arrangements a bit like the new Marduk or something like that but yet still remain the Scandinavian 2nd wave of Black Metal orientation! The title like There Is No God to Be Worshiped Beside the Devil,Hell is here,your pray is enough to explain the whole message their are trying to warn every fake Black Metallers out there !! Even though there's seems somethings is lacking through their music in this album (Or maybe I just too much into their their 1st and 2nd demo,which I considered one of the best demo ever produced in Sabah..hehe) but still Blood War Hate for is enough prove as a coronation of Barbalans stand as the leading Black Metal act in Borneo! Cos no matter how many the scene is flooded with the new Black Metal from time to time but still I can't see there is any of them could even get close to Barbalans standard (And probably will never be!).The true king will never die..their might hibernate but not dying..REIGN ON THE BORNEO HELL MASTER BARBALANS !
